BGLCC Honors CTM at Its Heart of the Community Awards Gala
The Buffalo Grove Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce selected Chunowitz, Teitelbaum & Mandel, Ltd. to receive its Heart of the Community Award in the Business Philanthropy category for Lincolnshire. The BGLCC recognizes area businesses for their dedication and service to the Buffalo Grove and Lincolnshire communities. Giving back to the community is part of CTM’s core business philosophy. Whether individually, or as a whole, the firm has a long history of volunteering for, participating in, donating to and supporting a wide variety of charitable programs, many of which are geared toward children. The firm was presented with the award at the Heart of the Community Awards Gala on Saturday, November 8th at the Arboretum Club in Buffalo Grove. JCFS Honors CTM’s Co-Founding Partner Bill Chunowitz
Jewish Child & Family Services selected Chunowitz, Teitelbaum & Mandel, Ltd., Co-Founding Partner Bill Chunowitz to receive its “What’s Possible” Award, honoring his lifelong contributions to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicagoland & Northwest Indiana®. Bill’s extraordinary efforts with the RMHC-CNI date back to 1977, when he helped co-found the first Ronald McDonald House on Deming Place in Chicago. Nearly 35 years later, he was instrumental in building the country’s largest Ronald McDonald House, near the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago.® JCFS is a non-profit organization providing supportive services to individuals with mental health and developmental/intellectual disabilities. Its “What’s Possible” Award is given to individuals who have either overcome major life obstacles or made grand efforts in helping others overcome obstacles. JCFS presented Bill with this Award at its annual fundraiser, A Striking Event, on Sunday, June 22, 2014, at Pinstripes in Northbrook, IL.
